Dentures
Prosthetic Privacy, Only your dentist knows for sure.
One cannot understate the importance of well fitting cosmetic dentures for
the folks who wear them. Yet the ultimate cosmetic denture need not be an
uncommon challenge to the patient. It can be a pleasant secret shared only
between the dentist and the patient.
Dr. Ron personally fabricates every denture in his private office lab. There
are no lab technicians or dental assistants working on your dentures. Dr. Ron
sets the teeth individually to your unique needs so you can be sure that your
new denture will be fabricated to your expectations.
The Dr. Ron Smile philosophy has been refined with more than thirty years
of research and development. Central to this treatment approach is complete
control of multiple variables to achieve predictable cosmetic dental prostheses
without guesswork. The goal of ultimate denture cosmetics with prosthetic
privacy lies at the heart of Dr. Ron's office philosophy; dentures that look so
good only the Doctor knows for sure!
Unfortunately, in every day life, it is not at all difficult to spot
people who are wearing dentures in public and in the media. Many potentially
great smiles are ruined by inappropriate cosmetics and poor materials.
Great dental cosmetics and dental health are important to all age groups.
Especially among folks who feel embarrassed about wearing dentures and wish to
keep this fact private.
There are several factors that defeat cosmetic privacy for denture patients. Things
that reduce the wearers' chance of feeling attractive and confident. Dentures
that
just look "false".
A Dr. Ron Smile incorporated into your new dentures can achieve the illusion of
completely natural teeth. To accomplish a natural look as well as a denture
that one can comfortably speak and eat with requires a delicate balance of many
complex issues.
Often in cosmetically challenged smiles, the prosthetic denture teeth
that are selected are just too dark or too light for the patient's age
and complexion. Or the teeth are set too straight in an unnaturally perfect
alignment. Another common problem is that the denture looks faded because the
prosthetic teeth lack individual natural coloration. Natural teeth have a
graduation of color from the edge to the gum line and exhibit small natural
imperfections.
Prosthetic denture teeth need to be the right size and shape for the patients
face and have slight artistic color variations just like those seen in
natural teeth.
Ultimate Denture Cosmetics; The Doctor Ron Smile!
Dr. Ron uses many aids to help you select the exact teeth that you
need for your new dentures. A picture of you smiling with your natural teeth is
a good place to start. If that is not available, a photo of a sibling or close
relative can also be used. Dr. Ron can scan a photo and enlarge it digitally to
help in the i>tooth size, shape and coloration determination.
Another aid would be actual models of your teeth or a close relative with
similar jaw structures. It is vitally important to consult with Dr. Ron
before you have your teeth extracted. Dr. Ron can take impressions and digital
images of your remaining natural teeth and use this information to duplicate
the size, shape and coloration of your natural teeth.
Dr. Ron can also take an impression and actually duplicate the size, shape and
coloration of the teeth of your sibling, your child or another close relative
to make sure that genetic factors are given consideration. The impression
process takes three minutes and can be invaluable in tooth selection.
There are many other ways to scientifically select your new teeth, Dr. Ron
and his Smile Team will be glad to discuss them with you!
The result of inappropriate or insufficient cosmetics from inferior materials
is also a big concern. Dr. Ron uses the best American made
materials and chemistry in fabricating your new dentures. Lifelike prosthetic
teeth positioned individually along with artistically carved gum tissues will
result in a comfortable confident smile and improved lip support.
The pinkish gum tissue base material is fabricated with a high impact
acrylic resin base material that is precisely formulated and painstakingly heat
cured to replicate a natural look to the gum tissues. The shape and coloration
of the gum tissues is extremely important to the natural look of your new
dentures.
The improvement in confidence and social freedom when prosthetic variables are
controlled can be very dramatic and rewarding for the patient.
Anterior Prosthetic Teeth
The very best premium quality American made anterior prosthetic denture
teeth come in many sizes and shapes and are selected according to the patient's
needs, style and personality. They are supplied in matching sets. Dr. Ron
individually hand shapes the teeth to get the individual look that you need.
Natural tooth enamel has properties of opalescence and translucency that
reflect and refract light. This gives natural teeth a vitality that is
difficult to duplicate. Only the very best prosthetic teeth will have the
subtle complex blending and shading of natural tooth colors for the ultimate
natural smile.
Posterior Prosthetic Teeth
The intricate color shading and blending that is found in the best quality
anterior prosthetic teeth must be duplicated in the posterior teeth for
prosthetic privacy. Natural teeth have high sharp cusps with subtle color
variations and a natural fluorescence. The posterior teeth must be fabricated
with high wear resistance characteristics and strength.
The posterior teeth are also custom adjusted personally by Dr. Ron to suit each
individual patient's cosmetic and functional requirements. The position
and appearance of the posterior denture teeth is just as important as the
anterior teeth for ultimate cosmetics.
Acrylic Resin Base
The most expensive prosthetic dentures will only look their best with a
premium base acrylic. The manner in which the gum tissues are hand carved can
have considerable impact on the appearance of the denture. Subtle differences
in shading and coloration and fibers that mimic blood vessels helps replicate
the look of natural gum tissues. High impact resistance with heat cured
materials results in excellent accuracy and freedom from bacterial infilteration
and allergic responses to the base material.
Lifelike prosthetic teeth and gum tisses, individually personalized tooth
positioning with improved lip support are basic to excellent denture cosmetics.
This can boost self confidence and take the tension out of social situations.
